History of the Stable

Located just across from Ballast Point Park, the stable has a long history at Tampa Yacht and Country Club. TYCC is the only yacht club with a stable in the entire country. Generations of South Tampa residents have learned to ride here, including head trainer Whitney Grim’s grandmothers. One of her grandmothers, Evelyn Stephens, was the head trainer in the 60’s. Whitney’s parents met here at the Tampa Charity Horse Show. Whitney Grim took the helm as owner/head trainer in 2015.
